Group climbing coaching to help you reach the next level this season

If you've been itching to get outside but feel shut down because you haven't been training as much as you'd like, or maybe you've struggled staying accountable or consistent.

I'VE GOT YOU!!!

EPT was originally an in person program make for memerbs at Vertical World in Seattle. It was a great hit, people got stronger and super stoked for the season. It was such a big success that I ran it every single season, and then I took this program over to Seattle Bouldering Project, changed it up a bit, and again it was a big success!

So I know this program works, and I know you'll have a ton of fun doing it!

Yes, this is an online program, and, I encourage you to get your friends to join you at the gym. It's much more fun and motivating when you have your buddies ready to work with you!

Structured Plan

You'll get a weekly structured plan delivered through Trainerize. Climbing drills, strength and core, and flexibility.

Group Coaching

Get the answers you need, plus watch some video analysis with these weekly calls on Wednesdays at 9am PST

Accountability

With the structured plan in trainerize, group chat, and weekly calls, plus your buddies, you'll stay consistent each week.

What You'll Need

You will need a climbing gym or a home wall!

The only way this course works is if you have a place to climb consistently.

You'll need access to basic strength equipment like dumbbells, pull-up bar, hangboard, resistance bands, and rings or a TRX.

You'll want to be comfortable using your phone at the gym. Trainerize is the software I use to deliver the workouts. I am also giving you a PDF copy of the program, however, I may make changes to the Trainerize program that won't be reflected on the PDF.

Is this for you?

If you've been wanting to get back to climbing, but unsure what to do to get ready for the outdoor season, EPT will provide a structured plan to get you started on the right track.

Got trips coming up?

EPT is a great way to build momentum into the season. Having a structured training plan will only yield good things for future trips!

Boulder or Sport?

Whether you are a boulderer or a sport climber, the drills are designed to build strength and confidence so you can return to the sport you love.

Mindset? Sure thing!

We'll cover some of the common mindset roadblocks that come with outdoor climbing, such as fear of falling, confidence, anxiety, and much more.

Climbing Drills

Whether you are going to a climbing gym or you have a homewall (moonboard style or self-set board), the drills will be designed to fit whichever climbing wall you have.

Will my home climbing wall do?

If you can get from the bottom to the top in a variety of different intensities, you'll be good to go. Ideally, you'll be able to grade your climbs, however, this isn't essential.

What about projecting outside?

I encourage outdoor climbing every weekend or once a week if possible! Projecting is part of this program, whether indoor or outdoor. It is imperative that you do the drills and project. Projecting alone will not get you the results you are looking for.

Measuring progress

You'll be journaling throughout the course, taking note of your bright spots, your goals, how you feel each training day etc. This is essential in measuring your progress because progress looks different for each person.

What can I expect during the 6 weeks?

Expect to show up for each training session, ready to go, with a plan in hand. You'll have good days and bad days, you'll have fun most times, and when you're not, you'll message the group and tell us your struggles. We'll be there to encourage you and keep you going.

Each training session will be slightly different, some will be very difficult, some will be quite easy (this is essential for progress. Doing the same intensity will only lead to burnout and injury).

You'll have a strength and conditioning day that will focus primarily on getting you stronger and more flexible.

The climbing drills are set for M, Th, Sat and the strength, core and flexibility will be spread out throughout the week.

Each training session will last between 20-90mins.

You'll see changes each session and some folks will see dramatic physical changes, while others may see shifts in mindset.

Making huge leaps in grades in 6 weeks isn't possible for most of us, which is why my one on one coaching is a minimum of 3 months. The goal of this 6 week program is to get you started on a plan, create structure, see improvements in strength and confidence.

Climbing ability takes time to develop, it's a journey, a process of building up a wide variety of tools and skills. This program is a blip in time that can change how you approach the rest of your climbing training.

The program will give you a solid framework to build your own programs once the course is done.
