What others have said about EPT
"My physical improvements were impressive (in my opinion), but the area I improved the most was my mental resilience. I LOVED the sessions on fear...it was great to realize that "hey, I'm not the only that gets scared." This was my favorite aspect of the course and I will carry it forward with me in other aspects of life."
"At week 6 I had a 4 day climbing trip and I was very happy with my performance. I couldn't have done so well without the program."
What You'll Need

Join EPT!Is this for you?
If you've been wanting to get back to climbing, need a structured plan, stay accountable, and want to overcome a plateau, this program is for you! We use indoor climbing as the basis of our training, however, we also account for outdoor climbing.
Got trips coming up?
EPT is a great way to build momentum into the season. Following the structured training plan within EPT will yield great results for future trips!
Boulder or Sport?
Whether you are a boulderer or a sport climber, the EPT drills are designed to build strength and confidence no matter where you're climbing.
Mindset? You Bet!
We'll cover the common climbing mindset roadblocks, such as fear of falling, confidence, and anxiety, through mastery of the 4 pillars.
Meet Your Coach!
Hey! I'm Mercedes, but call me Merc!
I coach climbers to gain a deeper understanding of themselves so they can confidently make the right choices on the spot and thrive as athletes.
My background is deep in the movement world, focusing on quality of movement, flexibility, strength, and building a strong mindset to tackle difficult problems.
Join me this September, as we work together to better your climbing experience!
Climbing Drills
Whether you are going to a climbing gym or you have a homewall (moonboard style or self-set board), the drills will be designed to fit whichever climbing wall you have.
Will my home climbing wall do?
If you can get from the bottom to the top in a variety of different intensities, you'll be good to go. Ideally, you'll be able to grade your climbs, however, this isn't essential.
What about projecting outside?
I encourage outdoor climbing every weekend or once a week if possible! Projecting is part of this program, whether indoor or outdoor. It is imperative that you do the drills and project. Projecting alone will not get you the results you are looking for.
Measuring progress
You'll be journaling throughout the course, taking note of your bright spots, your goals, how you feel each training day etc. This is essential in measuring your progress because progress looks different for each person.

Join EPT!What can I expect during the 6 weeks?
Expect to show up for each training session, ready to go, with a plan in hand. Understand, however, that you'll have both good and bad days. The majority of the time you'll be having fun but those days when you're not motivated, or just having a crappy day, message the group and tell us your struggles. We'll be there to encourage you, help you out, and keep you going.
Each training session will be slightly different, some will be very difficult, some will be quite easy. After all, this is essential for progress. Doing the same intensity will only lead to burnout and injury and we don't want that to happen!
You'll have a strength and conditioning day that will focus primarily on getting you stronger and more flexible. And of course, the training program includes climbing drills, strength, core, and flexibility. These sessions will be spread out throughout the week.
You can expect each training session to last between 20-90mins.
You'll see changes each session and some folks will see dramatic physical changes, while others may see shifts in mindset.
Making huge leaps in grades in 6 weeks isn't possible for most of us and that is why my one-on-one coaching is a minimum of 3 months.
The goal of this 6 week program is:
- Get you started on a plan
- Create structure and learn proven methods to build strength and confidence.
- Support you and keep you moving forward
- Teach you how to apply this to improve your climbing
Climbing ability takes time to develop, it's a journey, a process of building up a wide variety of tools and skills. EPT is the foundation to help you build an everlasting base that will change the way you approach your climbing training forever.
